Iraq's Scholars Praise the Participation of 1,200 Intellectuals and Scholars, Hailing from 28 Muslim Religious Affiliations, at Makkah Conference

Senior Iraqi scholars: The Conference of the Muslim World League is Exceptional and Qualitative... And its Final Statement Translated Islam’s All-Inclusive Umbrella that Accommodates All.

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Alissa, met in Makkah, the delegation of senior scholars of the Republic of Iraq and the President and members of the Iraqi jurisprudence Council, led by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmad Hassan At’tah.
The delegation praised the Rabita’s convening of the conference on Islamic Unity and the Perils of Labeling and Exclusion within the concept of promoting the notion of national state and its shared values. The event was patronized by the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and organized by the Muslim World League within the Holy perimeter of the Sacred Mosque. 1200 Muslim dignitaries made up of Muftis and senior scholars from 127 countries representing 28 Islamic components of various sects and affiliations. They met in an extraordinary gathering with qualitative output deserving appreciation and gratitude.
The delegation of Iraqi senior Muftis and scholars also paid tribute to the open spirit that permeated the Islamic spectrum in its various apparatus in this historic conference, and what took place between the elite of the nation in science and thought. They exchanged views, conducted dialogue, and showed willpower to promote Islamic unity within its general and inclusive umbrella of Islam that embraces and welcomes all under the integrated spatial framework for each state; the national state, where its common values and complete harmony are evident, in all its diversity and multiplicity to confront any labeling and exclusionary thought, that would threaten Islam’s unity, and the unity of the core of its national states. The latter, each separately constitute with its bulk and splendor, the Ummah’s building blocks; where its unity takes shape within its Islamic structure under the aegis of its cooperation and relationship in the context of its brotherly relations.
The delegation emphasized their total appreciation and respect towards their brothers of various sects, denominations and dogmas. They    will cooperate with each other, and complement each other towards one single objective. Furthermore, they won’t allow any subversion against Ummah’s unity and the unity of the national state under whatever pretexts. These, no matter what they are, will only lead to evil and sedition; additionally, theirs are sterile arguments, rejected by both sagacity and sharia. Needless to say, no one will raise this debate, and vehemently differ and object to anyone except extremism and terrorism.
The delegation looked forward to the convening of a similar conference in Iraq, bringing together all denominations and sects to translate with living proof the sublime values of Islam and to warn against evil and sedition which banners have been raised by the ilk of Da’esh, abnormal minds, and those who toe their lines; such as the Takfir groups and the like. Stressing that Iraq is great with its unity, its language, its Sunnis and Shiites people and all its sects. The great Iraq will not allow any instigator or intruder to infiltrate the ranks of its religious and national harmony. They have expressed great pleasure with this conference, where there was abundance of diversity in the all-inclusive Islamic spirit, great respect for the concepts of the national state and keenness to preserve its entity, peace and harmony. We must deprive tendentious people of opportunities by counteracting their suspicions, claims and tricks. The conference’s final communiqué has aptly and clearly interpreted those great Islamic values along with their optimal national concepts.
