His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa met with His Excellency the Senior Advisor to the High Commissioner and Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr. Khaled Khalifa. Together they discussed the current status of refugees around the world and how the Muslim World League’s existing and future programs can help alleviate the suffering of millions of refugees worldwide. Dr. Al-Issa praised the monumental efforts made by the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHCR) and UN Refugee Agency. Mr. Khaled Khalifa expressed the UNHCR’s appreciation of the Muslim World League’s support for its mission and its commitment to provide safe haven for displaced peoples and support for their host communities.
