At the MWL branch office in Riyadh, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with His Excellency Mr. Guiling A. Mamondiong, Secretary of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hannan Tago, Executive President of the Ulama Supreme Council of the Philippines for Peace and Development. Mr. Mamondiong presented Dr. Al-Issa with an official invitation to visit the Philippines as the guest of honor at a global forum to be held in Manila. This forum on interfaith dialogue aims to support religious diplomacy efforts to promote peace and will be attended by the president and various international figures. The meeting also addressed several topics, including training opportunities for imams in the Philippines on the principles of the #MakkahCharter.
