At his residence in New York, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, received the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Delegation, headed by His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Voronkov, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office.
The meeting discussed the crucial role of religious leaders in combating extremist ideologies and hate speech, particularly when such rhetoric escalates to violence and terrorism. Mr. Voronkov commended the MWL's international initiatives in this vital area and emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts.
