From the Great Hall of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a conference was launched on the UN initiative by the Muslim World League: “Building Bridges of Understanding and Peace between East and West.”

The UN commended this initiative and opened its doors at the New York headquarters at this time last year.

The conference was organized by the League of Islamic Universities, in collaboration with #AlexandriaUniversity and #AlameinUniversity

The sessions of the conference commenced following the welcoming speeches and a lecture by His Excellency the Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed Alissa.

During his lecture, His Excellency emphasized that universities fulfill a primary role in leading the support and promotion of the goals of this initiative, as reflected in the conference's slogan.
