African Muslims who attended the Global Elite Competition of the Ten Recitations have proposed that this African competition be held annually. Established in Nairobi by the Muslim World League, it is designed for memorizers who demonstrate mastery in reciting the Holy Quran using both the ten minor and major Qira’at. Notably, this competition is the first of its kind in Africa.
