This afternoon, at the headquarters of the Muslim World League (MWL) in Makkah, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, launched a set of pioneering Qur’anic initiatives, which included: ‘the First Coordination Forum for Global Qur’anic Digital Maqari’, along with its contents’, ‘the Digital Portal for the Global Electronic Maqra’a’, and ‘the League of Global Qur’anic Digital Maqari’’, affiliated with the MWL.

These projects address a pressing need brought about by the proliferation of digital Maqari’. They aim to coordinate efforts and expertise within this significant Qur’anic field. The Coordination Forum itself featured academic sessions, working papers, and discussion workshops. These sessions focused on guidelines for Qur’anic recitation and ijazah through digital Maqari’, the coordination of efforts among professionals in the field of digital recitation, and several technological initiatives for teaching and reciting the Qur’an.
