Kazakhstan: H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa visited the Astana Grand Mosque
H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa , Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, visited the Astana Grand Mosque.
This is one of the largest mosques in the world, and the largest in Central Asia, with a capacity of approximately 300,000 worshippers, including its courtyards.
His Excellency was received and briefed by H.E. Sheikh Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly, the General Mufti of Kazakhstan.
H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General, held a meeting with senior Malaysian scholars from across the states, led by H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Fauwaz Fadzil, Grand Imam and Grand Mufti of Malaysia
