In recognition of Dr. Al-Issa’s efforts in highlighting the true principles of Islamic law in confronting Islamophobic campaigns, and his role in promoting the concept of comprehensive citizenship and the justice it embodies—particularly in protecting minorities—together with his emphasis on Islam’s principles regarding rights and duties, especially its framework for freedoms conveyed through international platforms, academic institutions, and research centers.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, in the presence of current and former members of the Court, honored H.E. Sheikh Dr. #MohammedAlissa , Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, during a special lecture organized in his honor and attended by the Court’s members, several prominent figures from Pakistan, and members of the diplomatic corps.
The lecture addressed several key themes, including interfaith harmony, cultural exchange, the promotion of awareness of rights and duties, and the concept of comprehensive citizenship from an Islamic perspective in comparison with established international principles and norms, while also providing a historical account and analysis of several relevant topics.
