The Islamic Centre in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, hosted an extensive meeting between the Secretary-General and President of the Organisation of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh MohammedAlissa, and Muslim officials from across the United Kingdom.

They hailed the League's global role and expressed their pride in it. They also welcomed the visit of the Secretary-General to the UK, his meeting with top British officials, and the question of Islamophobia and the proposed objective solutions. As well as efforts to unify their local Islamic religious reference, similar to what the League has accomplished in several Muslim-minority countries.

During this meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of adopting wisdom in the behavior of the Muslim community, particularly in the face of provocations and extremists' strategies to instigate discord. It has been emphasized that Islamic awareness should allow to thwart these attempts, following the example of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who faced unparalleled challenges with wisdom, forgiveness and kindness, under the rule "repel evil with good."
Sheikh Alissa also stressed the need to unify the Islamic Religious Reference in terms of legal advice and religious methodology, particularly on matters of general interest.
He stated that the Islamic Fiqh Council of the League, the oldest and most prestigious Islamic jurisprudence council, will soon hold a forum in the same centre. He will address the jurisprudence of Muslim minority communities, at the invitation of the Center.
It is also planned that this forum will propose the drafting of a code of this jurisprudence, which may be updated periodically, as well as news regarding the training programs of imams in the UK on the MeccaCharter. A proposal will also be submitted to integrate this charter into Islamic educational curricula at different levels.
Among other things, the Secretary-General stressed the importance of protecting Muslim youth from foreign ideologies to moderate Islam, highlighting the central role of the family, the importance of religious education programs, and the proper training of teachers. He also mentioned the influence of public platforms, especially Friday sermons and religious conferences.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Alissa hailed the enlightened conscience of the British Muslim community by stating:
"We are proud of this community, conscious and responsible, which reflects the true image of our religion in this diverse and influential society." »
Subsequently, several questions and interventions were formulated, all greeting the role of the
WorldIslamicLeague across the globe, expressing pride and commitment to the institution, highlighting the positive impact being seen at all levels in British society.
Among other things, the participants hailed the Secretary-General's visit to the UK and his meetings with senior officials, in a context particularly important to them, including the worrying rise in Islamophobia. They praised the solutions proposed by Sheikh Alissa, calling them wise and objective.
Finally, the participants hailed the League's efforts to unify their local Islamic reference, following the example of its successful interventions in several Muslim minority countries. They expressed renewed hope following the failure of previous attempts, stressing that the Secretary-General's initiatives and speeches have reinforced confidence in British society, all mixed communities, in the World Islamic League and its international initiatives for social cohesion and peace. harmonious coexistence in accordance with Islamic values.
