Egypt: His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa delivers a lecture on intellectual developments between the East and the West at Cairo University

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, delivered a lecture titled: "Intellectual Developments between the East and the West" at the official invitation of His Excellency the President of Cairo University. His Excellency’s speech took place under the dome of Cairo University, and in the presence of about 3000 guests.  This lecture is among the memorable lectures delivered in this hall as various senior dignitaries delivered lectures there, such as the former US President Barack Obama.

The lecture was attended by His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Egypt, several presidents of major universities from Cairo and other cities, members of the diplomatic corps, editors-in-chief of major Egyptian newspapers, and deans of the colleges of Cairo University.

His Excellency the President of the University, and a number of senior figures including His Eminence the Mufti, described the lecture as "a road map to correct the course of religious thought.”
