The commemorative lecture delivered by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, at the Dome Building of Cairo University, on the Intellectual Developments Between the East and the West, garnered high praise. The lecture was attended by 3000 guests including His Eminence the Mufti of Egypt, the presidents of the invited universities and their faculty members, several sheikhs, intellectuals, diplomats, and a large group of students.
Moreover, His Excellency the Secretary-General received several letters of commendation from many religious, academic and intellectual institutions. They requested its full text to be printed and published for its rich beneficial contents. Cairo University undertook this task, according to what was stated in a statement by His Excellency its President, Dr. Mohamed Elkhosht. This came after he commended the contents of the lecture, and His Eminence the Mufti of Egypt described it as a “road map that corrects the course of intellectual literature and Fiqh literature”.
