At his office in Makkah, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with H.E. Sheikh Nayabagabo Salum, the Grand Imam for Islamic Affairs and the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Burundi. 
During the meeting, Burundi was praised for its tolerance and positive coexistence among its religious and ethnic diversity. The effective presence of the Muslim community, which embodies the values ​​of Islam that promote harmony and peace, was also commended. Dr. Al-Issa also received a report on Islamic and humanitarian work in Burundi.
