H.E. Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL inaugurated the Second International Summit of Religious Leaders, titled “The Role of Religious Leaders in Resolving Conflicts.”

H.E. Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, inaugurated the Second International Summit of Religious Leaders, titled “The Role of Religious Leaders in Resolving Conflicts.”
The summit, held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, was attended by an elite group of religious leaders, comprising nearly 400 distinguished figures from across the globe.
The summit addressed a number of significant themes, including: “The Role of Religious Leaders in Standing Up to Violence and Conflict,” “Religious Diplomacy as a Tool for Resolving Disputes,” and “Sharing Best Practices in Managing Religious Diversity,” with particular attention to “The Tragedy in Gaza: A Reflection of Global Failure and the Distortion of Humanitarian Values.” Furthermore, it also discussed “Religious Conflicts: Understanding the Causes and Addressing the Roots.”
