While the foundation stone of the mosque was laid by the Secretary-General a year ago, the facility, with God's help, was officially opened in Nouakchott today.

This mosque is part of the Muslim World League's African Program, which includes international projects dedicated to constructing houses of worship and relief initiatives.

 The event was attended by ministers and scholars.
