The first of its kind, with the participation of senior scholars, experts and researchers, including research studies, workshops and specialized exhibitions.
 The Muslim World League launches the Regional Forum for the Service of Two Revelations in Africa
- His Excellency the President of Zanzibar welcomes the guests of the Forum, and praises the programs included therein.

Serving the Holy Quran and the Noble Sunnah, and spreading awareness of the texts of the two revelations are at the forefront of the services of the Muslim World League.
The contents of the forum articulate the texts of the Quran and Sunnah as a way of life and growth.
- The forum stems from the deep and firm statement of the Makkah Charter’s scholars on numerous issues essential to Islamic awareness in our changing world.

Darussalam: 
From the Federal Republic of Tanzania, the Muslim World League, launched the Regional Forum for serving the Two Revelations in the African Continent, entitled: The Quran and Sunnah, Approach to Life and Growth, with the participation of His Excellency the President of Zanzibar, Dr. Hussein Mwinyi, and His Excellency the Muslim World League’s Secretary General, President of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, in partnership with leading scholars on the African continent.

The Forum’s activities continued over three days, bringing audiences from all over Africa. The forum is the first of its kind in East Africa, due to the most recent papers, studies and research serving the Quran and Sunnah, in addition to most important training courses and workshops in areas of Quran teaching, along with methods of memorizing the Noble Quran, and Sunnah, highlighting the Prophet’s guidance, and the most important researches dealing with the scientific miracles in the Quran and Sunnah. 

The forum gains great importance, due to the importance of its contents and themes that serve the Holy Quran and Sunnah, whose service is at the forefront of the interests of the Muslim World League. This task is done through institutional work supervised by elite groups of distinguished scholars, and also due to the great position of the United Republic of Tanzania in East Africa. Its location, history and reality.

The President of Zanzibar delivered a speech on behalf of the State in which he welcomed all guests, praising the forum themes and programs.
In his opening speech, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa expressed his great delight participating in this significant forum to serve the two noble Revelations.  At the same time, Sheikh Al-Issa appreciated the patronage and attendance of the President of Zanzibar of this regional Forum, which will have good and blessed outcomes.

Addressing the forum’s attendees, His Excellency said: “Based on our firm belief in the importance of the two Revelations which are firmly set in the heart, words and deeds of every Muslim, we are extremely keen that this significant foundation is the springboard to the accurate understanding of the Quran and the Sunnah texts. Hence, the Muslim World League’s care and attention to disseminate Islamic awareness of the two Revelations’ versions. They are after all, at the forefront of its services. Hopefully, we have contributed as much as we can in this endeavor.”

Dr. Al-Issa touched on the themes of the Forum, which announce the texts of the Quran and Sunnah as a way of life and growth, based on the scholars’ profound and concrete Makkah Charter understanding. Those have clarified, in important statements, various issues directly related to the exact understanding of the texts of the two Noble Revelations.  That statement included great enlightenment essential to Islamic awareness, particularly in our dynamic world.

His Excellency emphasized on the importance of teaching young people the correct understanding of the texts of Quran and Sunnah, in parallel with what they memorize. He said, teaching them at a young age will certainly implant the teachings of Islam and its lofty values deeply into their hearts. Allah (SwT) revealed the Quran to us to ponder.  “(Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition.” Surah Sad, verse 29.

Dr. Al-Issa went on to say: "The most important difference lies in combining memorizing the texts with pondering them," explaining, "It is impossible for us to grasp the texts meanings until we understand them correctly."
He pointed out that the Muslim World League, through a department specialized in serving the two Revelations, is constantly working on making the Quran and Sunnah personify the character of every Muslim in his high moral value that reflects the true personality of the Muslim “with himself, his community, his country, and with others around the world.” The true Muslim, wherever he is, after all is imbued with high morals and principles walking on earth. No nation will live proudly without values, as Islam was founded on the word of monotheism after espousing exceptional morals. The Prophet (PBUH), said: “I was sent to perfect moralities.” In another narration, it was said the best of manners. Allah has described him as “And indeed, you are of a great moral character”

The Grand Mufti of the Republic of Tanzania, Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Zubeir bin Ali, also delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, in which he said Tanzania welcomes the event of this forum and highly appreciates its importance. He also mentioned the great position the Muslim World League enjoys in the hearts of Muslims.
Later on, the speakers’ speeches from senior scholars followed, along with the sessions, including research and studies, and the parallel workshops, training courses and specialized exhibitions. All of which are dedicated in serving the areas of teaching Quran recitation and the methods of memorizing the holy Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah, in addition to introducing the guidance of the Prophet (PBUH).

The audience was treated to the most recent developments in scientific miracles in the Quran and Sunnah, which was done by participating groups of senior scholars, researchers and experts. The forum sessions discussed several themes, most notably: the role of the Makkah Charter  in promoting tolerance and developing societies, the role of the Makkah Charter in developing the Muslim society, and the culture of peaceful interreligious coexistence in Tanzania:  Lessons, challenges and ambitions, of the role of women in serving the local community, the scientific miracles in the Quran and Sunnah, and the integration of Quran centers and institutions: The International Council of Elders of teaching the Quran (Iqra) as a model.
