The application is distinguished by its internationally recognized Shariah framework, developed over many years by leading fiqh scholars and experts. Its purpose is to resolve the widespread contradictions found across many religious programs, while introducing additional essential services.

The Muslim World League (MWL) launches the “Minhaj” platform — the first comprehensive digital Islamic reference, marking a long-awaited, groundbreaking technological advancement in serving the Muslim Ummah.

 Dr. Al-Issa:

• The concept of “Minhaj” has been approved by the Islamic Fiqh Council, chaired and endorsed by esteemed muftis and senior scholars of the Muslim world who are members of the Council.

• The application is the first of its kind in Islamic history in terms of its Shariah umbrella, which brings together scholars of the Muslim Ummah who are members of councils, academies, and bodies affiliated with the Muslim World League.

 Makkah:

H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, inaugurated in Makkah the MWL’s new digital platform, “Minhaj,” in the presence of esteemed scholars from across the Muslim world, representatives of Islamic bodies and organizations, and a select group of experts and specialists.

During the launch, the key features of the platform were presented, highlighting the significant qualitative shift it brings to the MWL’s corporate communication system as part of its ambitious strategic plans to strengthen engagement with Muslim communities both within and beyond the Islamic world.

The grand celebration featured speeches by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Saleh Bin Fawzan al-Fawzan, Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, and President of the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, whose remarks were delivered on his behalf by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majid, the Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars. Additional speeches were delivered by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Advisor at the Royal Court, and Chairman of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy; H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mabrouk Ali Mohamed Zaid Al-Khair, Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in Algeria; and H.E. Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia.

Dr. Al-Issa emphasized during the launch that this digital transformation represents a qualitative step within the MWL’s efforts to enhance its technological tools, contributing to more effective engagement with Muslim communities—particularly through accessible digital services that meet their needs. He noted that the MWL continues to strengthen its technological capabilities in line with the rapid advancement of modern technologies.

He added that the concept of the “Minhaj” application received official approval from the Islamic Fiqh Council under Resolution No. (23), dated 22 April 2024, corresponding to 13 Shawwal 1445 AH, endorsed by esteemed muftis and senior scholars of the Muslim world who are members of the Council.

H.E. explained that this application is the first of its kind in Islamic history in terms of its broad Shariah framework, which brings together scholars of the Muslim Ummah who are members of the councils, academies, and bodies affiliated with the MWL. This grants it a “high level of institutional credibility,” resolving the widespread “contradictions and inconsistencies” found in many widely used religious programs, while also “adding a range of important new services.” In doing so, it represents a fully integrated technological advancement supported by an unprecedented international Shariah framework.

It is worth noting that the “Minhaj” platform offers a broad selection of interactive digital services in multiple languages, filling a long-standing gap in this domain. The MWL ensured that the launch of this global digital project came only after full integration and adherence to the highest standards of Shariah authentication.
