The Malaysian Prime Minister visits the Muslim World League (MWL) and meets with the Secretary-General

Anwar Ibrahim lauded the MWL’s significant global and Islamic contributions and commended its vital stance regarding the situation in the Palestinian territories

They set a date for the launch of the 1st session of the Council of Southeast Asian Scholars, and the summit of the Leaders of World Religions in Kuala Lumpur under the auspices and presence of the Prime Minister

His Excellency the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, visited the Muslim World League office in Riyadh and met with His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars. 
During the meeting, several issues of common interest were discussed; the Prime Minister lauded the MWL’s significant global and Islamic contributions and commended its vital stance regarding the situation in the Palestinian territories. This is particularly noteworthy because it highlights the MWL's extensive influence and role in the global community. Operating from its headquarters in Makkah, the qiblah of Muslims, the establishment and care given to the MWL are recognized as one of the countless blessings Saudi Arabia has bestowed upon the Islamic World.

During the meeting, they set a date for the launch of the 1st session of the Council of Southeast Asian Scholars, which was founded by the MWL on 12/2/1443 AH, corresponding to 7/1/2022 AD, in the presence of Islamic religious leaders in Southeast Asia. They also agreed on the launch date of the summit of the Leaders of World Religions in Kuala Lumpur under the auspices and presence of the Prime Minister. The summit will focus on launching several initiatives and executive programs with the objectives of promoting awareness among the youth and consolidating the values of coexistence among national diversity in the ASEAN region and around the world, through effective tools with tangible and measured results that go beyond traditional meetings and theses.

His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa, on behalf of the Muslim World League, held a dinner in honor of the Prime Minister of Malaysia and his accompanying delegation, including His Excellency Dr. Zambry Abdulkadir, Foreign Minister of Malaysia, and several ministers and parliamentarians from Malaysia.
