In his first official hosting of an Islamic figure at Buckingham Palace after his coronation, His Majesty King Charles III received H.E. the Secretary General of The Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Issa.

During the meeting, the two men discussed the duties of religious and intellectual leaders towards a number of issues related to their mutual values and principles, particularly their responsibility towards enhancing friendship and cooperation among nations. They discussed the importance of finding shared ground through the shared language of culture and religion. 

Dr. Al-Issa thanked King Charles for his respect and appreciation for the Islamic civilization, and for his fair and measured stances towards a number of complex interfaith issues.
