Prince Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein, President and CEO of the International Peace Institute

His Excellency Sheikh Dr Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met Prince Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein, President and CEO of the International Peace Institute (IPI), at his residence in New York during the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The two discussed the important role that religious, intellectual and community leaders, along with peace advocates more broadly, play in resolving conflict and promoting dialogue and understanding between nations and peoples. They stressed in particular that the international community must play an effective part in this work, which bears directly on global peace and social harmony.
