Dr Al-Issa's work aims to protect and strengthen Muslim communities across the world. The Islamabad Declaration secured an unequivocal commitment to girls' education from scholars and governments across 47 countries. At the same time, the League has invested in the infrastructure of faith itself, from community mosques serving millions in Niger and Indonesia, a commitment to reconstruct Christchurch's Al-Noor Mosque - which suffered a terrorist attack in 2019, and efforts to standardise religious scholarship and safeguard Islamic heritage for future generations.
