Earlier today at his office, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with H.E. Sheikh Dr. Yahya Cholil Staquf, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Nahdlatul Ulama Association in Indonesia, which represents approximately 164 million Muslims—57.6 percent of Indonesia’s population, according to the latest statistics. 
During the meeting, they discussed the future of the strategic relationship between the MWL and the Nahdlatul Ulama Association, which was further strengthened through the launch of their joint initiative, the G20 Religious Summit (R20), along with several other topics of mutual interest.
