, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, together with H.E. Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, inaugurated the Third Session of the Council of ASEAN Scholars, “Islamic Identity and Intellectual Consensus,” in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
This edition of the forum, which brought together the region’s scholars and religious authorities, aims to crystallize a scholarly vision that contributes to building an authentic and unified Islamic discourse—one that addresses the region’s major issues and fosters a culture of dialogue among its diverse Islamic components. In doing so, it seeks to strengthen the intellectual security of the Muslim Ummah against attempts at division that threaten its religious and cultural unity.
