Awarded Him the Highest State Award

At the Presidential Palace in the capital, Astana, H.E. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, received H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed. H.E. the President then awarded the Secretary-General the nation’s highest state award, the Order of Dostyk, in recognition of his distinguished efforts in strengthening friendship among peoples and his significant contributions to promoting interfaith partnerships and advancing cooperation, understanding, and religious harmony. Sheikh Al-Issa expressed his appreciation to H.E. for this award, which he regarded as an appreciation of the MWL’s global efforts, emanating from its message that reflects the values of Islam and its call for peaceful coexistence and harmony.
